Teenager's Daily Routine and Skin Care
Teenage is a period where teenagers start focusing more on their skin and health and start using different products consisting harsh chemicals, anti-ageing creams which are not suitable for their sensitive and growing skin and result in break-out, pimple and acne issues. Teenage period can also be referred to as 'growing period.' In this period, our skin works under a development process and goes from many hormonal changes. Without focusing much on products for different skin types, they should go for the products suitable for sensitive skin type. So, here we will step out some tips that teenagers must focus on-
Avoid Using Too Much Make-up- Under teenage, we all try to look beautiful and use too much make-up on skin which may result in break-out issues. Try not to go for too much make-up and if you are getting ready for a party or marriage, just take a headache of throwing out your make-up from your skin after function with a cleanser suitable for sensitive skin and less harsh chemicals. You can also use milk as a cleanser. Sleeping with your make-up means inviting a damaged skin. Make-up close your skin pores with chemicals in it and do not forget the pollution you have passed through. So, make a habit of using as less make-up as possible and a make-up step suitable for sensitive skin.
Protection- Using a mild primer before make-up and sun screen after is a must. Primers make a barrier between your skin and make-up which do not let your skin to come in close contact and hence, protect your skin from being damaged by the chemicals in make-up products. Sun screen keeps your skin protected from harmful UV rays, blocks it and keeps your skin toned.
For teenager's sensitive skin, sunscreen under SPF 30 are enough.
Do not scrub- Scrubbing/Exfoliation is a process that removes dead cells from your skin. Teenagers have sensitive skin and in this age, their skin goes under a growing period. Scrubbing may affect their growing skin cells but if you want to remove your dead cells there are quick hacks or DIYs you can say-
1. Take rice flour, add it with curd/honey and exfoliate.
2. Take coffee powder, add it with coconut/Olive oil, apply and exfoliate.
Avoid make-up products after shaving- Now, if we talk about waxing or threading, it's a regular headache. After a regular time period we need to go for threading or waxing but applying make-up just after threading may result in break-out or redness. Apply aloe vera gel or a mild moisturizer on that particular area from where the hair has been removed and then go for make-up. Always keep in mind that if you are going for threading process, thread and hands used must be clean and while using a razor, clean it properly before and after use.
Do not go for heavy and anti-ageing moisturizers and toners too- Teenagers have sensitive skin and for that, mild, light-weight and soft moisturizers are the best. Never ever go for anti-ageing, skin brightening or heavy moisturizers, these may affect your skin and your developing skin cells. Always choose a moisturizer that have maximum hydration properties and are suitable for sensitive skin type or else go for aloe vera gels.
Do not go for expensive toner, they are not required for this age groups but if you want, you can go rose water.
