Winter Hacks That You Should Try

Happy Winters Guys!! What? You don't like this season? Well...me too! Winter is not less than bane for dry skin type people. It makes their skin even worse. So, without cursing winter much more, welcome it with both your arms open and a smiley face.This blog is for people who don't like winters and also for those who enjoy. I am gonna share some hacks in general from skin care to body care to hair care, to deal with the problems you face in this particular season of the year. You are actually gonna enjoy practicing them.



 #Hack 1
Cleansing and Moisturizing: Winters lead to a change in our wardrobe. So, why aren't we changing our products. Our face and body needs extra moisture in winters. Switching to face washes and moisturisers with thick texture from gel ones is a great option. This will result in keeping your skin hydrated and no dryness at the end. Moisturizer along with water droplets can also help nourish your skin layers from inside.

Pamper Your Pout: This is the most neglected part of our skin. Applying and leaving lip balm on as if doing a favor. Please don't chew your lips and nails too. Exfoliate them and for high moisture, use this DIY- Take a cotton pad, mix one tablespoon of milk and rose water and apply this to your lips. You will end up with a soothing 'n' calming effect and kiss-able lips. 
You can also exfoliate it with scrub made up of honey, lemon and oilve oil. Together these ingredients help your lips exfoliate, nourish and helps in reducing darkness.
For another option, homemade scrub of coffee and coconut oil for lips, also provide satisfactory results.

Don't Skip Sunscreen: Ditching sunscreen in winters ? Not a good practice at all. Application of sunscreen in summers protect our skin from UVA and UVB rays and so in winters.You will not be shocked if I say that we spend a lot more hours with  'Suraj Chacha' during winters. So, hereby our skin needs the same or you can say 'extra' protection in winters.

Cut-Shot Your Bathing Time: Try to cut off your bathing durations. "Are..nahi nahi. Nahana nahi band karna hai" but its true that winter season tends to push us towards a bath tub full of hot and steamed water. But, are you aware that along with relaxation, hot water also gift us itchiness and dry skin by releasing natural oil from our body and scalp ? Yes, hot and steamed water effect natural oil of our skin and scalp well leading to itchiness. Always go for lukewarm water and that's enough for bath.

Hair Care: Oiling is a must. Adding moisture to your scalp and something extra to your ends is a necessity. Dry scalp leads to dandruff and affect natural oil of scalp. For split-ends, argon oil is a blessing and if you don't have split-ends, you are already a blessed-baby. Argon oil delays the problem of split-ends. Keep your scalp moisturized by appling your favourite hair oil or a mix of oil such a mix of coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil and argon oil. Also try to deep condition your hair once a week atleast and you will end up having managable hairs.

Dry Brushing: It is an amazing activity to glow-up your skin by improving its blood circulation. Yes, dry brushing or dry exfoliation leads to improved blood circulation and add an immidiate glow to your body. Those who have added this as a part of their regime, already know the benefits but if you are the one who haven't tried yet, give it a check. You are required to simply brush through your body by a glove exfoliater or a dry brush once a week for only 5-10 minutes and that's enough.

Feet and Hand Care: We all face the problem of dry hands and kracked heels in winters. Every time we take face wash, we never forget to apply moisturizers but what about our hands and feet ? Try to invest in good amount of hand creams and for your feet, apply Vaseline or some foot cream before going to bed at night and after moisturizing them properly, wear shocks for about 30 minutes, let your feet enjoy the warmth, lock in the moisture and that's enough. This will take some time but you will definitly see good results.

Nutrition: During winters, you guys might have noticed that we get lazy. May be the reason is food varieties available around us in this season. Different varieties of green veggies and fruits.
No matter how much topical application done to your body, at the end, what you eat, actually determines how you look and how you feel. Nutrition that we intake has major effect on looks and health as well.
